Sesame allergy

The consumption of sesame has been gaining popularity since demand for bio nutrition and organic food increased. Sesame refers to sesame kernels or sesame seeds. Sesame kernels are particularly good energy suppliers, as they contain 50 % fat and 17 % proteins.

Nowadays sesame allergies arise more and more frequently, and they lead to acute circulatory failure. A sesame allergy can occur in adulthood without any prior warning, afterwards persisting throughout one’s entire life. The symptoms of a sesame allergy are usually very severe, thus even traces of products containing sesame are to be avoided at all cost.
